Working hours for live-in nannies
Live-in nannies usually work between 10 to 12 hours per day, Monday to Friday and babysit two nights between Monday and Thursday. Any additional baby-sitting is paid extra. The nanny is free at the weekend, unless otherwise agreed. Some nannies will work a 24 hour pattern, or more days per week for a higher salary.
Duties for a live-in nanny
A live-in nanny is responsible for all nursery duties relating to the children, those include:

Live-in nanny rates
The salary is depending on the nanny’s experience, qualifications, working hours and location.
The information below is a general guideline for live-in nanny salaries:
Live-in nannies working 50-60h earn between £420-£640+ gross per week.
Live-in nanny working 24/5 earn between £785-£1025+ gross per week.
Junior live-in nannies earn between £345-£420 gross per week.
Live-in nanny working abroad receive a higher salary between £750-£1500+ gross per week.
The salary should always be quoted in gross. Employers are liable for the Nannies Tax and National Insurance.
